Call for Proposals for the 2026 AIMS Conference

The conference will take place on Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st at Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois. Share your expertise with the broader Montessori community – we are excited to hear and learn from your experiences!
 
The deadline for submitting proposals is Tuesday, September 30th, 11:59 PM (CST).

Rules of Participation: We value diversity and want the 2026 AIMS Conference to represent a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and ideas that is reflective of our AIMS membership.

  • Proposal presenter(s) must be willing to participate in-person.
  • Proposal presenter(s) must be willing to plan a 75 minute presentation (inclusive of 15 minutes for attendee questions).
  • Each accepted proposal admits the presenter(s) to the AIMS Conference.
  • AIMS Conference may not be used to sell products or services.
  • AIMS Conference may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • Proposal presenter(s) must be willing to have their session be video and/or audio recorded and allow AIMS to share with the Montessori community at its own discretion.

 

Qualifications for Workshop Proposals

  • Main Presenter  must have experience as a presenter (e.g., at a conference, in a university setting, etc.). Maximum of 3 presenters.
  • Presentation types: Traditional Presentation, Workshop, Panel.
  • For topics related to Montessori curriculum : Credential at level of target audience (Infant & Toddler, Early Childhood, etc.) and minimum of 3 years of experience in a Montessori classroom at this level.
  • For topics related to administration:  Minimum of 3 years of experience as an administrator in a Montessori school, an administrator/instructor in a teacher education program, or a professional on the topic.
  • For workshops on theory and/or information related to specialized fields:  Appropriate degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in the topic field.
